I would need a Perl/PHP script running in Linux environment for automation tasks. The input would be either URL(s) to remote image(s) or path(s) to local image file(s). The function of the script is to recognize if there's any text in the image (eg. website url, text watermark, either handwritten or typed) There's no need to do full OCR to recognize/record the actual text. I only need to know if there's any existence of text/character on the image itself. In addition to considering bidding price, I'll give priority to those who can give me specific outline of how he/she is going to make the implementation (eg. tools/utilities used, algorithm)

Hi, I am looking for a developer with experience in Image Recognition and OCR (OpenCV, tesseract, ...) to develop a component of my app capable to recognise the kind of ID document the user has taken in picture and extract the information on that document (after validating that the image quality is good enough). Please contact me if you have similar experience so we can discuss more about the details. Regards, Charles

Pilot application to verify OCR capabilities (tesseract/google drive/others). Application input: take photo or image from gallery. Processing: crop receipt and resize, identify receipt elements, items paid and OCR them into categories (name, quantity, price per item, price). Output: Text and graphic blob stored into DB. Knowledge about graphic processing will be welcome, as some known algorithms will need to be used. Further details will be provided to interested parties. If successful this project will be expanded into full application and winning project will be granted with ongoing app expansion and app maintenance. Skills required: Android/Mobile OCR

I am working on a bot for a website that has captcha. I already found a tutorial for this specific website on how to OCR the captcha, but it requires you to manually use GIMP to process the image and then use Tesseract. I am not familiar with neither, but the tutorial explains well how to do it:   [obscured]  /2014/07/breaking-facebooks-text-captcha.html I need someone that can make me a class library (C# or VB.net) that I can integrate in my project and call like this: Dim Text As String = Library.ImageToText(img As Image) The library must, of course, be able to work offline. I have been scammed before by people saying that they have a server for heavy image processing while they just sold me the DeathByCaptcha API for a lot of money.

I am looking for someone to develop a .NET class library that can parse name, address, amount, and MICR data from check images. The library should accept individual images or a list of images as input and return a UTF-8 encoded XML string with the results for each image processed as output. The string should contain the name of each parsed field, each field's value, and the confidence level of the result. The library must support tif, png, and jpg formats.

I am looking to create an open-source OCR module that would simply process an image using OCR and create a searchable PDF that looks exactly the same as the original image, but can now allow search of text or strings inside. I am looking to host this on a cloud workflow application, so I will need this as open source. We have been using Google Tesseract and OpenCV (both .Net versions), but we have been encountering some challenges with exact replication of the original image (though we are doing well on the OCR accuracy). Any expert help would be much appreciated in nudging my team in the right direction. This is an urgent requirement.
