My name is Patrick Alexander-Lane and I currently teach a college course on Creative Writing as well as another on the writings of Marcel Proust and the Belle Epoque. As I have not yet applied for any jobs on E-lance I do not have any results or milestones to share.
However, samples of my written work can be seen in my portfolio and also on my website at www.mrwrite.us
Throughout my career as a corporate executive and as a university administrator, my focus has always been on clear writing and communication. I have written every sort of material, from the most basic advertising copy to a novel and an academic book on Marcel Proust.
- Advertising copy
- Company newsletters
- Business plans
- Website content
- Technical manuals
- Press releases
- PR brochures
- An exhaustive variety of marketing materials

Armed with a degree in Philosophy and English, I began my career as an accountant with Price Waterhouse & Co in London. I have spent the last ten years as a senior university administrator.
I am also a published writer. My collection of short stories, ROAR, was published by Mainstream Publishing in the UK and my guide to Marcel Proust, "Marcel Proust's Search for Lost Time", was published by Vintage Books in New York. My first novel, a thriller, The Nigerian Letter, was released in March 2011 and will be followed by second book on Proust later the same year.
