“Although I appreciate new opportunities, I accepted this project against better judgement. The client is likable, however I'm sorry to say that I would not recommend her nor her brand, as it is conventional and replicates Cosmo mag. Upon retaining my services the client mentioned that she had gone through several marketing consultants, which generally raises a red flag, and in hindsight I now believe the client to be the common denominator.
Upon starting new projects I make a practice of asking a series of detailed marketing related questions, and whether large or small I stipulate the necessity of learning the companies culture prior to engaging their audience.
Due to the nature of the clients sexually charged content and because of her previous experiences with other marketing pros, the client suggested that I send all content for pre-approval. Upon my advisement, I set up a weekly content schedule where post could be easily managed, yet the client chose to bi-pass its usage. So, in an effort to ensure timely postings, I also took the initiative to send periodic reminders to notify the client when she had fallen behind schedule (this detail was not in the job description). During the lapses of client communication, I would work on other areas of the project.
Unfortunately the clients review of actual accounts are unfounded and seem to be a tad malicious for a couple of reasons: 1) The client quickly became unhappy, thus deciding to complete the project early after I informed her that I could not work beyond our 5 hrs weekly contractual agreement, without compensation. 2) The client also has a habit of contradicting herself and I'm baffled as to why she would provide such mixed remarks publicly, yet spoke highly of my performance privately.
