“We experienced many problems working with 3EWebServices. Before discussing the problems, I want to say that the project manager was very attentive, professional, and did his best to make a bad situation better. I commend him for his efforts.
In the end, almost all of their work was unusable. They especially struggled with a complicated jquery task. They did not have the skills to write jquery from scratch, so they tried to modify an existing library, which almost worked. Unfortunately, when code is written poorly, and "almost works", debugging is very difficult. As a result, we were forced to start from scratch.
As a result of their lack of git skills, I spent many hours helping them clean up their git repositories, and commit code. This resulted in lots of wasted time and money.
We did, however, use 3EWebServices on a different project for data entry, and they did a pretty good job there. There were a number of mistakes, but in the end their work saved time.”
“For this job, our role was to come in and debug a previous developer's work. The project was poorly documented, and functionality was made up as we moved along, without a proper project plan in place. As a result, any update done on the site resulted in many conflicts due to the already buggy code. It was not possible to distinguish new bugs as opposed existing bugs. Although this was awarded a "full time" dedicated developer job, we never spent more than 20hours per week on this project since client was very concerned about budget.
At the time, 3E worked primarily with SVN and client was advised about it, and was OK with it when starting. But client did put in lot of effort towards orienting us towards Git. We now use Git for almost all our projects.
