Everyone goes to the dentist, right? We've been hearing words like floss, brush, and rinse since we first heard of plaque, cavities, gingivitis and gum disease. It's old news. We all know that eating sugary substances can cause plaque, plaque can cause redness and swelling in our gums.
If plaque is left to sit on the teeth, irritated gums can pull away, leaving pockets of space at the base of your teeth. Those pockets can fill with bacteria and pus. Eventually, this can give you gum disease, bad news for your mouth.
You may feel that you've heard these warnings before, but the fact that we know better doesn't mean we're doing things right. The good news is that it's simple to get it right, but you have to know what you're doing!
