Overview

Minimum Hourly Rate $30

I offer a 20% discount for open source projects!*

I'm a Linux programmer, specializing in system-level and kernel development. Projects in adjacent areas, both lower-level (such as boot loaders), and higher-level (such as Linux applications and services) are also welcome. Embedded cross-development is my routine.

* The project must result in code or patches that I could publish/contribute to an open-source project.

Service Description

- All sorts of linux kernel development:
- Drivers of any kind. Lots of experience with networking drivers, but have also worked on many other types of drivers, including SPI (host controller), USB and crypto engines.
- SOC board support packages - from fixing device parameters to implementing support for new boards and SOCs.
- New functionality? From my experience, there's a good change it's already there, or you are doing something wrong. But if this is not the case, I'd love to implement it.
- Fixing bugs. Believe it or not, I actually like hunting down complex problems. Unless you are dealing with binary-only code, there is no bug that can't be tracked and fixed.

- Non-linux kernel stuff.
- Boot loaders. Worked on U-boot, barebox (aka u-boot v2), gPXE (etherboot). If you need to port u-boot to your new board/SOC, I might be just the right person.
- I've got some experience with the opensolaris/illumos kernel device interface. If you need a driver - ask. If you need a solaris userspace expert - there might be better candidacies.

- I do linux userspace programming as well. Mostly working with low-level stuff and C.
