Service Description

Sometimes, it's difficult to get your thoughts down on to paper the way you want to. I enjoy helping both students and experienced academics to transform mediocre written work into high-quality (publishable) writing. It's always a good idea to get someone else to give you feedback on your writing, but an expert pair of eyes is a bonus. Whether you're having major problems with written English, or minor frustrations with grammatical and spelling errors, send on your work and I'll turn it into a top-notch piece. I have lots of experience in proofreading and editing almost every type of academic document, including:-

Laboratory Reports
Masters Theses
PhD Theses
Journal Articles
Research Proposals

An eBook should be no less factually correct that an academic article; unfortunately, though, too much of what's out there on the general market is giving uninformed advice based on little more than folk-wisdom. If you're trying to make money from selling self-help books, the reader will only be likely to give a good review, and buy your next book, if it has actually helped them! Advice is only going to be helpful if it is based on hard (scientific) evidence. This doesn't mean it has to be boring(!) - it can still be very engaging and interesting. Some of my work samples in my portfolio give some examples of eBooks, articles, and press releases that I have written.

I've designed and delivered Research Methods and Statistics courses for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. With a little help from SPSS, I can analyse and interpret data using chi-square, t-tests, ANOVA (one-way and factorial), linear regression modelling (simple and multiple regression techniques), correlation analysis, and simple slopes analysis (for moderator effects). I'm also experienced in meta-analyses and have published two review papers in journals that used meta-analytic techniques.

My services include: proofreading, editing, statistics, academic writing (psychology), articles and blogs (psychology-based), eBooks (psychology-based), and press releases. I can help you to: get published in academic journals; get that eBook published (and make it more likely that it will sell once it's out there!), and improve your grades.

Payment Terms
*My business can only succeed if invoices are settled promptly*

Work on projects longer than a week is resumed when the invoice for the previous week's work has been settled.

Preference is given to projects for which requirements are clear and specific, and where timescales for completion are realistic.

Your official feedback on my services ensures that my business can achieve its aim of striving to be 'the best of the best'.

Once a project has been awarded, it is assumed that the client is satisfied with my hourly fee (i.e. cost).

Office hours: 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday (UK time). Agreed timescales for completion (number of days) do not, therefore, include weekends or Bank Holidays.
