I am a graphic designer and illustrator with over 20 years experience. I work hard to provide my clients with a quality product in a timely manner. Deadlines are very important to me.
I have done everything in this industry from cartoons to logos, and from publications to web sites. I have even done display work and t shirt production.
I received a BFA from Pratt Institute in Communications Design. But I got rid of my drafting desk as soon as Macs came on the scene. My proficiency with graphics software has evolved as the industry has evolved.
I look forward to new challenges and opportunities.
My local market requires that I do a bit of everything. Some of my current clients include a high-end vintage car magazine where I do design and production; a small book publisher where I design covers, books, booklets, brochures and displays; a media consultant who produces audio books where I translate book covers into CD covers and inserts; and a couple of non-profit clients who need me to do anything that involves graphics - including logos, brochures, booklets, stationary, business cards, and simple web sites.
I am proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign. I can make these programs dance. I am also experienced in Dreamweaver, and with the growth in new media, my experience broadens constantly.
I have won a few awards, primarily for illustration and cartoons. My favorite was a bike safety coloring book that took first place in a national competition. I found out later that the other entries were from CBS and PBS.
