I assisted the Senior Project Manager in the management of the Virginia Center for BehavioralRehabilitation project in Burkeville, VA (Electrical Contract Value approx. $5 million). I also performed reviews of engineers' and contract specifications for materials orders; released purchase orders based on reviews coordinated by superiors, engineers, owners, general contractors, and vendors.
Though part of the Project Management Team, I played a vital part in the company's IT realm. Notable accomplishments include: aided in implementing Exchange Server 2003 for enterprise-wide email distribution and archival; designed/maintained a company intraweb site, complete with database application implemented in PHP/SQL to allow systematic web and network-based cataloging/retrieval of document data; managed off-site corporate networking/security applications and hardware (including Linux firewalls and Cisco VPN equipment) in conjunction with our Internet Service Provider (ISP) and networking security contractor, under supervision of Office Manager; implemented a mobile project management suite (Field2Base), coordinated between Company Owner, product vendor, and internal staff, under supervision of Office Manager and Owner; implemented and maintained an enterprise installation of Primavera 6 (professional ERP and scheduling) for the company. Was also front-end operator of the ERP system; designed reports using Crystal Reports extracting data from Sage Timberline accounting system; redesigned newsletter that is sent to key clients and associates -- also redesigned company clothing layout; performed desktop/application/server/printer/networking support on an as-needed basis throughout the enterprise.
