“Freelancer was able to do the work but it took time and longer than acceptable. He was choosen because he was US based. He did not notify us during the interview process that he would sub contract the work out to an offshore resource. Freelancer justified the delays with the explanation that he had to learn the application. Subsequently we would hear he needed to check with the developer.”
Freelancer Feedback Comments for Client:
“Client came to me after changing 5 different developers with whom he wasnt satisfied at all. Because of issues with the earlier developers he was ended up spending 5 times more than the original budgeted. So he was in pressure from management. He gave me a list of 6 task and but when i asked him about the flow of application or any document he didn''t have it any. So i had to accommodate myself to deal with his offshore people since they were giving us hard time. Even though task was smaller I had to take little time to understand the flow and earlier 5 different developers coding standard. I had notified him many times that earlier programmer has written messy code and I have to keep fixing before i reach to your original issue. I showed him few examples of issues as well. Even though he is claiming he is technical he was keep making decision comparing original file and my updated file and asking me questions why just to change one line of code it took this long. He never understood to reach his original issue i had to understand flow, programming style of earlier developer and functions. I was following programming standard so I don''t create redundancy in his code and his website gets slow down. He himself said earlier 3 programmers took more than 500 hrs to fix the same one task and even after that they couldn''t fix it and i had fixed all of his 6 task in one week which was little over for him. Too much micromanagement since he was burnt by earlier developers and later they decided to hire local programmer.”
