My extensive (bordering on the encyclopaedic) knowledge of the music, gaming and film industries means my writing often pulls from a luxurious pool of references though I'm also keen to judge a release on it's own terms. My writing is insightful, often laced with acerbic humour and always 100% honest. In the 2 years I have been working as a writer I have interviewed over 40 professional musicians and reviewed over 800 albums, games and DVD releases and the quality has remained consistent. In fact I feel that I have learned more about writing in the last 24 months than I have my entire life and my articles have improved ten-fold as a result.

I put my academic and career aspirations aside in 2006 following completion of a music technology course at college in order to pursue a career with my band. Personal and health problems have kept me from working (or for doing much of
anything) between the years of 2002 and 2005 but after taking a college course in music I gained a great deal of confidence, the minor success enjoyed by the band also helped a great deal as we spent 3 years touring the country, recording a critically acclaimed album and EP and playing with some very notable names, the contacts I made in those days are still useful today.
