I have over eight years of cumulative collegiate education culminating in a BA in History. Strengths include editing, proofreading, transcription, copy-writing, content writing, and creative writing, in addition to excellent research skills.
I have also had experience as the Editor-in-Chief of a bi-weekly college newspaper, working in close conjunction with and supervising a staff of writers, copy-editors, photographers, designers and illustrators.
My writing experience outside of academic research has included being the author of an opinion column; being awarded an Honorable Mention by the Journalism Association of Community Colleges in California for an editorial; and having several creative pieces published by literary journals.
Let me be your word mercenary, your pen for hire, your knight in shining copy, your diction mechanic, your phrase monger, your one-line architect; your herald, your tribune, your silver tongue, your mercury.
Research--and writing effectively to display and utilize research as a means of persuasion--is used by fruit vendors and used car salesmen, part-time students and career politicians; in venues as different as cocktail parties and national assemblies. A master in the art of rhetoric is, by default, also a master researcher. Being thoroughly prepared with solid information about one's topic, about one's audience, about one's objectives--this preparation is as essential to the rhetorician, researcher, writer, and businessperson as the hammer and anvil are indispensable to the blacksmith. Research is not only a tool, but a process; not only a means of preparation, but an invitation to adventure.
Knowing one's material is tantamount to knowing one's prospective audience, and this knowledge enables one to speak to its psychology. This knowledge finds its greatest utility when used assiduously to attain an objective, to answer a question, to direct an audience, to prove a point, to convert a browser into a buyer. Solid research is the best way to present an idea in a way that speaks most powerfully, most convincingly, most persuasively.
My more creative output has been published by several literary journals.
A little research will prove that I am the man for the job. The proof is in the print.
I can copywrite, copyedit, write SEO articles, write essays, write articles, journalistic pieces, research articles, write academically; additionally, I translate German to English, Spanish to English, French to English, German to Spanish, and Latin (Classical and Ecclesiastical) to English.
