Andrew Lockton has been working as a freelance technical writer, graphic designer, proposal manager and software developer since 1991. He has experience across a range of industries including defence, information technology, health, consulting and education.
Andrew has extensive experience in a wide range of desktop software and develops tools and templates which assist companies to produce documentation efficiently. He first started using Word in 1989 and over the past 20 years has developed a comprehensive knowledge of this ubiquitous software package. In addition to word processing he also has broad skills in spreadsheeting, database development, graphic design and page layout software.
Companies using Andrew%u2019s templates include Alchimie, Tenix Defence (now BAE Systems Australia), Victorian Workcover Authority, Australian Grand Prix Authority, Northropp Grumman Information Systems and Spotless Services.
Andrew is an ex-secretary of the ASTC (Vic) and has lectured post-grad students in Technical Communication at Swinburne University since 2003.
Andrew has worked in Sydney and Turin but now lives in Melbourne with his wife and their three children where you might even see him cycling or coaching soccer on the weekends.
