Your own needs and our preliminary discussion will determine some specifics of the project, but in general, I will make at least two editing passes over your work. For fiction projects, the first pass will usually focus on broader issues such as consistent timelines and pacing, characterization, perspective, and tense. In the second pass, I will look closely for minor grammar issues and consistent use of terminology and phrases. For academic and online writing, the first pass will focus on overall structure and themes, and the second will deal with grammar and general proofreading.

I will keep careful track of your use of common phrases, compound words, and words invented by you for your project, and will check for consistency throughout the piece.
