How may I help you?
I am a self-employed entrepreneur making a return to my first love -- writing. The needs of my family have given me an opportunity to close one door and re-open another. Oh, how I've missed the old place!
In the "old days" (before word processors hit the newsroom) I interned with a daily newspaper and was editor-in-chief of a state university student newspaper. I wrote public relations for a savings bank and then was news bureau director for a liberal arts college. Then I co-published weekly newspapers, writing or editing all manner of content, including advertisements. Oh, and I did some magazine freelancing. (Didn't everyone?)
While the "mommy track" took me to fascinating places, I traded the smell of printers ink for ... well, other scents.
I kept my finger in the communications pie by doing a bit of desktop publishing and creative writing when I got homesick for my creative passion.
Now I return to a livelihood of writing in a fantastic world of blogs, freelance websites and my second home, the Internet.
It feels great to be back home again!
