I am an Oxford historian with a first-class degree and prize-winning essayist with extensive experience in a wide variety of writing styles.
My day job for the last 7 months has included a great deal of proof-reading and copy-editing for political pamphlets on a variety of topics, including law, economics and public policy. Many were written by authors who had English as a second language.
As a producer and marketing manager in theatre I have written programmes, reviews and press releases for a variety of audiences, contributing to four successive critically-acclaimed hit shows and regular invitations to review local shows.
As a student magazine editor I have considerable experience editing both fiction and non-fiction as sub- and content editor, as well as desktop publishing and leader-writing.
I have also written a variety of content for the student press and blogs, from travel-writing to lifestyle, sport and politics columns
I am now seeking to fund graduate work by freelance writing and am available to edit or write all manner of press releases, articles, reviews and travel writing as well as fiction and academic writing in the humanities. I am also available as a research assistant with full access to the Bodleian library.
