My specific focus was on administration of the 64-bit SQL Servers in a high-availability environment. I also worked with developers to guide them in designing their databases (ER Diagrams, stored , fine-tune them for optimal performance, and implement changes in a controlled manner (HP Openview). Some of the other projects I successfully completed were: -Developed and maintained a data warehouse that stored metadata about the complete server park and databases. The system consisted of an SSIS ETL framework, ASP.Net application, and Reporting Services reports. -SSISSync: A system that replicates SSIS packages and SQL Agent jobs - used for high availability. -SSASSync: A system that replicates SSAS databases - used for high availability. -Collation Changer: A tool written in C# to change the collation of a database and all its objects. -ReadSQLIO: A tool written in C# to parse SQLIO output files and import the data into a database -PerfmonAnalyzer: A system that imports perfmon files into a database and does performance analysis on the data using transact SQL and VBA (Excel). -Disaster recovery (DRP) tests and documentation (primarily based on EMC SRDF) -Review and analysis of different backup strategies (CommVault, Litespeed, RedGate Backup)

The implementation of Reporting Services and subsequent elimination of Crystal Reports resulted in very significant cost savings for the business. One year later, I performed an upgrade from SSRS 2000 to SSRS 2005. A project which was completed one week ahead of schedule -Performance Tuning and optimization: Identified the causes of performance problems in various vital deal processing applications and took the initiative to remedy these problems by modifying indexes. In one instance, this resulted in a gain of 1.5 hours for the Transfer Agency department’s daily activities.
