Development in Excel
Past projects include work labour time allocation system that delivered the project's daily workforce reports by work package, covering worker classifications by skill (e.g carpenter, electrician) and work type (permanent works or indirect works). This was the feeder system for blue collar payroll handling at peak more than 1000 personnel.
Combined system with Access as front end, SQL as database and Excel for reporting:
Designed and programmed the system to record all details of personnel, equipment usage on a daily/hourly basis, act as procurement feeder system. Contained further features of budget management, daily reporting and HSE reporting.
A number of automated excel reporting tools were built to facilitate daily reporting with limited user interaction, cost reporting (budget vs actual, S curves).
A Plant Management component allowed the recording of inspections, services, defects, defect resolution, odometer information and reporting to provide an overview and detail of the performance of this function.
A corporate plant management module allowed for the management of registrations, certificate management, service and Odo data, equipment information and standard / project specific charge out rates.
