I won a student playwright award in high school and my play was then performed by professional actors at a renowned Washington, D.C. theater. My first published work was an article in a national fashion magazine as a college freshman. That year, I also won a Microsoft-sponsored humorous essay contest and received a "night out on the town" with the Real World cast du jour. I also wrote regular columns and edited for a college-geared magazine, distributed among seven state universities. I graduated with honors in 2009, earning a B.A. degree from the Journalism & Mass Communication School, a highly competitive program within the university.
Since then, I have worked for an early-stage tech company, producing a range of written materials, including marketing collateral (articles published in state association magazines, product overviews, social media guides, etc.) and technical pieces (RFPs, agreements, lead-gen emails).
I currently work in Product Development, managing robust projects that require editing, writing, brainstorming and creative guidance with quick turnaround.
I am also known as the "go-to" editor and proofreader in my office and I perform these tasks with great attention to detail.
