I currently am employeed as a consultant on a full-time basis but am working on getting out of debt by following the Dave Ramsey plan and thus am looking for part-time work. I have been in the computer industry for almost 20 years, having graduated from Carnegie Mellon in 1990. My experience since then has been as follows:
Worked in New Jersey for a company that was developing an environment for developers to more easily create UNIX-based business applications. Technologies included Sun Micrososystems, Sybase, UNIX shell scripting, Postscript, and C programming. The company folded due to lack of funding.
Mellon Bank - development of mainframe systems for management reporting. Involved JCL, COBOL, and DB2 development. Eventually the team moved toward the Microsoft platform with Visual Basic 3.0.
ITI (Information Technologies, Inc.), which changed its name to Actium - various projects and technologies including being the technical for a team of three on a project to convert an old Excel workbook project to Excel 97 with VB5 COM objects for data access on a Hyperion box. Also worked with other technologies such as C, UNIX, Oracle Pro*C, Oracle PL/SQL, PowerBuilder, Sybase, and SQL Server 6.5.
