Back in 2013, I decided to totally change my work lifestyle and work from home. I can say that it is one of the best moves I have ever made. I have been highly motivated to carry out this decision ever since. I am strong in the areas of communication, am highly organized, a fast learner, and I am a diligent and loyal worker.

PROOFREADING / COPY EDITING
This is my job at present and I am enjoying it. I have been working from home as an editor since September 2013.
Most of the books / manuscripts I work with are written by authors from Europe. Since I deal with cultures that are different from mine, they have concepts which cannot be understood straight away.
As my editor-in-chief totally trusts me, I am given a free hand in editing these projects based on my best judgment. It is my responsibility to make sure that grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, and capitalization errors are corrected for the project to be read with ease. I also have the ability to improve garbled, awkward, or nonsensical sentences. To add, I can enhance certain paragraphs or sentences to keep them consistent with the tone and style of a particular project.
To date, I have worked on children’s stories, fantasy and romance novels, and biographies / autobiographies since these are what the European authors usually write about. My very first project had 4,000 words and the longest I have done so far had 263,000 words. I am not limiting myself to the abovementioned projects and their lengths.
