enjoy reading for pleasure and spend the majority of my free time doing so. I once heard someone say that you should think of what you would do with your time if you won a million dollars. The point of the exercise was to determine what activity one truly loved and enjoyed and to pursue it as one's career. For me, I would choose reading. Fortunately, the act of editing, proofreading and copyediting is just that--reading--albeit with a more critical eye for detail.

I consider myself to have a thorough liberal arts background.
