I relocated to Southern California from Michigan 4 years ago, where I was the Office Manager for two years at a vibrant, urban performing arts center. I did everything from answering phones, booking the facility, creating contracts and invoices, to giving tours, marketing, sending out news releases and maintaining the online Event webpage. I even set up and tore down events and cleaned the bathrooms when needed! I type 84 wpm, am a great problem-solver and go-getter.
I am also in the entertainment business ¿ a performer ¿ but have worked in every aspect of theatre, so understand the nature of this business, and excel at most everything I do. As a working performer, I am responsible for all of my own promotional materials, bookings, social media, press, contracts and paper work.
I also have 25 years¿ experience doing special event, public relations, fundraising and marketing for nonprofit organizations; and 10 years¿ of teaching at the University level, so I¿m very familiar with college campuses!
