Illustrator retains copyright unless other arrangements are negotiated.
Deadline can be negotiated depending upon current workload.

"Art should be fun!" states artist Laurie Barrows. The artist's work sparkles with playfulness. Her positive approach to life shines through. Bright color celebrates the joy the artist finds in her subject.
As a dedicated water-media artist, Barrows can often be found painting on location in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of Northern California. She uses every opportunity to observe and sketch people, landscapes, and wildlife. Her sketchbook is her constant companion. It goes where she goes.
The artist is a fifth generation Northern Californian with a deep respect for the natural world. She lives in Alta, California with husband and Corgis. Other interests include kayaking, gardening, sewing, weight training, mountain biking, hiking, cross-country skiing, trail running, camping and working with her therapy dogs.

For projects $250 & under, I request 50% upon award, and 50% in delivery of finals.
For projects over $250, I do progessive billing:
30% on award, 30% on delivery of color, 40% on delivery of finals.
Understanding budget concerns for clients, I am also open to other pay schedules.

Turn around time for projects vary upon my current workload, complexity of the project. SImple illustrations can be deliverd with 10 business days. Children's books can be delivered in 6 weekw to 12 weeks.
