I am an award winning American journalist, published book author, and professional editor with a master's degree in journalism. I have 20 years of experience as a writer and editor for newspapers, wire services and magazines--including in international publications.
I've interviewed and written about U.S. senators. I've written profiles about deaf children, columns about world-class musicians and painters, and articles about complex state budgets and politics. My work has been published in a variety of newspapers and national wire services.
Outside of journalism, my first book was published (not just self-published) in 2008. I have worked as a book editor (including substantive editing, copy editing and proofreading) on numerous projects. I am also an adept ghost writer.
My goal for each client is to do more than just put commas in the right place, but to enhance your creative work without removing the author's voice.
For me, working as a writer and editor is more than just work. It connects me with amazing people, places and events in a way that no other work can. My experience is global, ranging from the U.S. to Brazil. I only work on a few projects at a time so that I can give my clients very personal and careful attention. I do not own or participate in a business with multiple writers. You can count on me to be available for your specific writing and editing needs.
I am American, born and raised in the U.S., and English is my mother tongue, but I'm also fluent in Portuguese.
