I have also done graphic design work for various entities, creating fliers, posters, digital banners and album inserts.

I received a Bachelor's degree from Northwestern College of Iowa which ranged across all of the arts. I have swept a broad range of disciplines in order to gain a more holistic understanding of the creative process, both in my studies and in my daily life.
I have worked professionally as a literary editor, an illustrator and graphic designer. My experience includes childrens' illustration, commissioned portraiture for writers and graphic novelists, and graphic design work from posters to banner ads to album inserts.
I favor traditional media, a heavy use of gesture and movement to inject life into the image. My favorite mediums are watercolor, colored pencil, and graphite. I also work frequently with ink, conte and chalk pastels, and acrylic paint.
In addition, I'm conversant with the use of Photoshop and other digital image editing software. I am able to alter, improve, or create images on the computer. I am skilled in the technical and artistic rules of English grammar and punctuation, able to add and edit text to be both professional and aesthetically pleasing.
My experience in the worlds of theatre, music, and literature lends me the ability to draw on multiple creative resources. With those I can put together a variety of images specially tailored to their individual circumstances.
