I have 18 years' experience in copyediting and proofreading. I provide high-quality work, on time, and according to client specifications. I am thoroughly familiar with both AP and The Chicago Manual of Style and have developed many in-house style guides for clients. Satisfaction is guaranteed, as I am satisfied only when the client is satisfied.
My experience covers a wide range of projects in advertising and direct mail, as well as book publishing.
In advertising, I have edited direct mail letters, brochures, flyers, newsletters, buckslips, questionnaires, billboards, and even menus for upscale restaurants. I have reviewed new-business proposals and examined content on websites.
In publishing, I have edited more than 50 books and eBooks, both fiction and nonfiction, including mysteries, autobiography, self-help, holistic healing, law, accounting, marketing, health, and much more.
I have also been the manager/supervisor of the editing departments at two nationally recognized marketing agencies, overseeing the work of more than 20 other copy editors.
I have received awards and enjoy recognition as being at the top level of my field.
I have also taught English and history in high school; was an instructor in English at two business colleges; taught English, "Effective Military Writing," and Speed Reading at a large military base, where I supervised two other instructors; and even taught English at a juvenile detention center.
In college, I majored in English, was named to the Dean's List and Honor Roll, and graduated in the top 4% of my class. I was also a member of Alpha Chi Honor Society.

Being very familiar with both AP and The Chicago Manual of Style, I can provide editing services according to a client's preference.
I always maintain close communication with the client so that requirements are followed and expectations met or even exceeded.
As I have a strong work ethic, I edit very carefully with close attention to detail to ensure accuracy and a quality product for the client.
I am used to tight deadlines and can meet any timelines the client may have. I provide editing of MS Word documents, with tracked changes, and am always available to discuss any changes to ensure client satisfaction. I can ensure proper grammatical structure, correct spelling and punctuation, and am particularly adept at improving the readability of copy, clarifying unclear and cumbersome syntax.
