Nuance. Depth. Style. Do you want fresh travel writing that seizes readers? Need in-depth coverage of a new hotspot? Or perhaps you need an attentive translation, an industry-specific article or a painstaking edit.

In whatever direction you want your text to develop, I can offer well-crafted composition, thorough research and timely delivery.

My work for you here will be drawing on ten years of writing experience, online and in print, with an emphasis on international travel writing.
Service Description
While travel writing is my passion and my primary focus, I am available for research-based projects on varied subject matters for online and print publication. Past projects have spanned all thinkable themes: a medical handbook on vascular disease, a series of international newsletters on ethical consumption, university-level exam writing in medical ethics, self-help articles incorporating NLP techniques, poetry translation and online "how to" articles on numerous themes. I offer not only a honed craft, but also flexibility and curiosity, both vital to address your project's specific needs.

I have a solid academic foundation in translation and literature, pursued at the acclaimed Comparative Literature Department at Brown University. My studies in the art of literary translation led to my first published works, translations of Mexican poetry in the anthology "Connecting Lines", Sarabande Books.

The sum of these experiences is a rich, multi-faceted approach to language, which lets me help you turn your idea -- your pitch, your source text, your draft -- into just the sort of writing you are after.

I appreciate the highly specific demands of any project, and look forward to providing a more detailed proposal to suit your particular case.

As a matter of "mission statement", I share with you William Strunk"s recipe for vigorous writing:

"A sentence should contain no unnecessary words, a paragraph no unnecessary sentences, for the same reason that a drawing should have no unnecessary lines and a machine no unnecessary parts. This requires not that the writer make all his sentences short, or that he avoid all detail and treat his subjects only in outline, but THAT EVERY WORD TELL."
