Willing to adjust the budget and pay for quality. The main thing is to get the job done and done right. If what I am asking is a lot for ...
“Don't believe the hype. Believe the results. I am just a guy who wanted to make his dream a reality but trusted the wrong company. The demo I received after investing 9,000 usd and three months of my life was so horribly executed, I decided it was better not finishing, lose the 9,000 usd and start again. Does that tell you anything?
There were so many excuses for not producing the results that I wanted. The demo was poorly done and the amount of hand holding during development was ridiculous. I provided a visual guide, wireframe and comments in bootcamp, and they still could not follow orders. Also their idea of agile methodology was a joke. The lesson I learned from dealing with such a crappy team was, you don't expect C-level people to produce A-level results.
Another big problem was the lack of accountability towards team members. There really is no way for you to know if they are really working or just checking emails. You have to watch HireRussians very carefully or they will bleed you dry if you are not careful. The lesson learned here was if they "don't get it" after giving them explicit instructions, they just don't care.
HireRussians doesn't care about the quality of their work. The demo they made had such obvious flaws and errors, it seemed like a bad joke. Any company that doesn't have enough pride in their own work to execute it properly is not a company I'd work with. The lesson learned here is actions speak louder than words, the past doesn't guarantee the future, accept nothing less than results.
To sum it all up, this company failed me so horribly, that I made the decision that losing 9,000 usd and starting all over again was better than finishing with them. Yes, that's right. I didn't even finish the project. I didn't get any code. I didn't want that crappy demo with my name attached to it. If you want your project to be great, it's not going to happen with HireRussians.
Always judge a restaurant by it's toilet.”
“Dear d616, we all at HireRussians are sorry to hear you were not happy with the results. We’re also sorry that the development was stopped the moment we felt like leaving so close to receiving the polished version, even though we kept doing our best to reach the understanding throughout the flow of our collaboration. We'd be diligently following the instructions you'd been changing every now and then, every time right after receiving new materials from you. Agile methodology is to be agile, as it wears this name tag, we agree. And that is exactly how we structure our work. However, when works are being done and some requirements get changed (even with the most agile methodology) it does take some time to implement the changes into the system that had been created by the time. Being a team of professionals, we do care about the quality of the product and services we provide to our clients. We're sure, as a professional yourself you do understand time equals quality. Furthermore, there was not a case of additional timing being involved without letting you know about that and getting the approve from you. Also, the communication was being held in Basecamp and live messengers on a daily basis with answers being provided to the questions raised within the whole list of working hours. It is always of immense importance for us to make sure we understand and support the client's needs, views and dreams fully. And it was an honor for us to be working on the project with you, helping you getting closer to the point of reaching your dream coming true. With all the effort involved into trying to reach the mutual understanding, we'd like to still thank you for your time and your ideas. We sincerely hope you will find what you have been looking for with our company and your previous provider, but were not able to find that.”
Freelancer Feedback Comments for Client:
“d616 is a bright young mind, a dedicated to his craft passionate person. However, the communication task may not be the easiest one — it will take you some decent amount of time to keep adjusting to a number of changing thoughts and ideas.”
