“Despite a great work ethic and a friendly, accommodating manner, this provider simply couldn't deliver. I was extremely patient over multiple attempts, even pushing back my deadlines repeatedly. Every new draft missed key points of the script, and after 5 months (the original deadline was 6 weeks), it became clear it wasn't going to happen. When I offered a compromise to end the project, the provider launched a dispute, leading to unnecessary conflict (we never had any dispute, we just didn't want to keep working endlessly).
In the end, the provider has a very hard-working team with very good intentions. I have nothing bad to say about their work ethic, but I recommend getting samples first. If you like their style, you will be happy with them, but exercise caution if you're working outside of their style and hoping they'll create a style you're aiming for. We were creatively incompatible, and it was a supremely frustrating experience. In the end, we were accused of going on a "creative fishing expedition" when in fact we were simply trying to get the work to reflect the script. If their work was as solid as their work ethic, this would have turned out much differently. I have nothing bad to say about their work ethic, and wish them all the best.”

Freelancer Feedback Comments for Client:
“For all providers, seeking further business with this client, please beware.
This client tends to be on a creative ''fishing expedition'' and wld like providers to bear cost of that.
The client is of questionable work ethics.
He started off with demanding ''unlimited changes''. When we refused to accept this job he pleaded with us (as the PMB will reflect) and then sought to stretch a 10 day storyboarding process over 6 months, contradicting what he wanted all along the way. He held up our production pipeline for a period of two months which we had kept free for him and ''cos of our time commitment to him and simply disappeared.
When he finally received the complete storyboard which was more production stills than mere storyboard images, he tried to wheedle away by trying to arm twist us into giving the project assets as a condition to releasing payment. When we refused to budge and suggested the matter be referred to dispute and even take it to arbitration, knowing that the past would catch up with him, that he didn''t have a case, and he might end up paying for the loss he caused us, he pleaded that we remove the dispute and promised to make the payment which was due.
He then provided a partisan and unfair feedback as his last desperate malevolent act to try and tarnish our goodwill having failed in his attempt to monetarily deprive us.
A fact of matter is, there ARE a few individuals operating in Elance who look upon it as legitimized slavery and will seek to exploit providers.
If one is desperate, one enters any work contract with him at one''s own peril. If one is not desperate giving this client a wide berth is highly recommended. ”
