I have always loved art, as a hobby, a past time and a career goal. It has always been something I have been attracted to and my fondest wish is that one day I will be a respected professional artist/illustrator and able to support my family by selling my work.
I tend to do some preliminary sketches when I start an art piece, just to get a better idea of what I want something to look like as I don't always have a clear plan in my head. Usually it evolves as I work on it. I always sketch and ink everything by hand on my drawing board and then either colour it using acrylics or more usually, I scan it into the computer and use a Paint programme to colour it in with a really vivid range of colours.
Currently I'm branching out my style a little more, working on some black and white line drawings for a fantasy novel as well as doing some paintings in acrylic. I've been published in several books now in the UK and USA and I feel optimistic that this is just the start of my dreams...
