I am a disabled woman who has decades of experience to put at the disposal of clients. Being disabled means that I can often give immediate attention to a client's needs and meet a short turnaround time.
I am easy to reach by phone or email, and like to communicate with my clients. I find that my training as a life coach to help people attain what they want in life is a great asset in working with my editorial clients.
I particularly enjoy working with long-term clients. This allows me to learn their preferences and the cadences of their speech.

I bring decades of experience in editing and proofreading, beginning in 1968 at the Encyclopaedia Britannica in Chicago. I was chief copy editor at a prestigious San Francisco political publisher, Synthesis; contract proofreader for Mysterious Press and the psychiatric publishing house Brunner Mazel. I have 20 years' experience doing legal proofreading, with 15 years' employment as chief proofreader at Pillsbury Winthrop, a major corporate law firm.
I have edited numerous dissertations and hundreds of other academic papers. My non-editorial experience includes working at hospitals and medical schools, where I honed my medical vocabulary.
