“I am sad to say that this was not a pleasant experience.
After a couple of productive calls and telling me she had 10 and potentially 25 hours she would make available for me to use her and as soon as we got completely set up and in our routine, she completely bailed on me in the most unprofessional way I have ever experienced. To explain, her job was helping me work through my personal goals that were in my head and then getting them on paper. After telling me how excited she was about working together, she writes me this, I think our personalities and philosophies are too different for the relationship to be mutually beneficial.
This would have been fine especially if she wanted to phase out over a week, or atleast finish the task you started, but she literally droped my tasks and puts me behind 2 entire weeks behind on one task that might have only took her another week to finalize.
No phone call, all I got was an elance message.
No explanation until 1 week later I get another message, after I told her I was incredibly confused.
Basically, here is my read, she felt like because she has such a good rating that she could treat my like crap and drop me through a message, cancel my project, and not even have the professionalism to simply explain on the phone and make me start over on the tasks she had began.
“I am terribly sorry that things with BoronCaptialCEO did not work out. It was never my intention to mislead this client. The feedback he left was expected and I take full responsibility for his dissatisfaction.
BoronCaptialCEO is a great client, energetic, passionate, clear, and flexible. I was sincerely excited to begin a new adventure with him and his team. In the two weeks we communicated, his needs and the role I would play become more clear and I felt like the relationship would not be a good fit after all. It was during those "very productive" calls mentioned in the feedback, that I determined there were big differences in philosophies regarding business, life, and family. I felt those differences would keep me from being truly enthusiastic or invested in his projects. Because I would be so involved with his personal life, and the planning of his goals, there was no way I could continue the relationship.
I did not want to string BoronCaptialCEO along or pursue something I felt in my heart would not work well, so I opted to sever the relationship immediately. It is unfortunate that things did not work out for either of us.
