I am a careful listener who works with clients in an efficient, cost-effective, and timely manner to develop compelling messages that meet their needs. A graduate of Duke University, I have written marketing and training video and multimedia scripts for hundreds of prominent clients, including repeat projects for UPS, Delta Air Lines, BellSouth, Georgia Power and other large and small companies. My documentary and news work has appeared on ABC's Good Morning American, CNN, Discovery, A&E and public television stations across the country. Awards include a Television Hugo, Emmy nomination, Gold Award from the Georgia Video Festival (corporate), and multiple first-place awards from the Associated Press (news and documentaries). I am the author of a published novel, Maya Lord.
I work with clients to clearly define the needs and goals for their communication and develop a script that delivers their message with impact. Marketing and training video scripting differs from multimedia writing in that video can often be used to tell a compelling and interesting story that carries the viewer's interest through a beginning, middle and end. For multimedia, the interest must be generated through energetic writing and the use of variety in the use of media, such as graphics and video elements. I will help you present your marketing or training message in a manner that will produce results.
In addition to my corporate work, I have written several documentaries, including Dying To Live, which is currently playing in syndication on public TV stations around the country.

I have always worked on a handshake basis with clients. I believe if they don't like what they get and don't use it, they shouldn't have to pay. So far, during my nearly twenty years of scriptwriting, no one has taken me up on this standing offer. I like to keep up good direct communications with clients by both phone and email. An initial discussion with the client is essential to achieve a solid understanding of goals and an agreement on an effective concept for the project.
