Currently fascinated with NO-SQL DBs, functional programming (both in Clojure and Scala), BDD+TDD, HTML5, Cloud Computing, CI&CD and other cool stuff. Iím becoming an active member of the agile community in Barcelona attending Coding Dojos, the Global Day Code Retreat, gatherings and meetings... and having lots of fun.
Our main area of development is functional programming, the web and the JVM. We have worked both on the frontend (mobile and non mobile) and backend sides of projects, and we like them both.
We have been doing Java (Junit, Spring, JPA/Hibernate, etc) since before 2005, and we do Scala, Clojure and NodeJS, too. We have used relational and non relational databases (MongoDB) for real, and some non database interesting things like MemCached.
We really love doing things well. A project without TDD, Continuous Integration and Continuous Testing makes us unconfortable... No project started by us is without them and we add those good practices whenever we can to existing projects. And simplicity is our main goal as software designers, which makes Clojure so appealing to us.
We usually use Scrum and both Jordi and Jose are Certified Scrum Master. But, you know what? The course taught by Mike Cohn was sever orders of magnitude more interesting than the certification itself.
We have worked for the local government, for ecommerce companies and for startups.
