Resume/C.V.

I've been a professional editor for 4 years, working first in Live Television (for FOX Sports, Horse Racing TV and the NFL Network) and presently in the far more technical Post Production world for a company in Culver City called BakedFX. I am familiar with all kinds of software and edit primarily with Autodesk Smoke, a state-of-the-art platform, as well as more common platforms such as Final Cut Pro (7 or X) and Avid Media Composer. Naturally, I'm more than familiar with other programs, among them: Photoshop, Nuke, and After Effects.
My assets are both technical and creative, both are essential and both I love. In Post, technical aspects reign supreme, how to convert how to play back how to work around, file types, frame rates--you name it. My creative asset is of course why I find myself in editing and it's what I am very good at. Telling a story, using music, transitions, effects, and just good video and sound is why I edit. I am very confident in my ability to meet deadlines.
Service Description
I offer help with anything that needs an editor or a skilled technical hand. It started out as a hobby, far back in high school, and since then the skills, both creative and technical, and the credits to my name have made me a confident and successful editor, one who currently works full-time in Post Production here in Los Angeles.
Because I have a journalism background from Arizona State University, I have the backbone of a journalists to tell comprehensive and interesting stories through editing. I have a writing background to utilize when necessary, either directly as a writer or indirectly as a story teller via editing. I also do have experience shooting, interviewing, the whole lot.
But most importantly it's my experience that allows me to offer comprehensive editing help. From projects as complicated as "all we have is this footage, now what?" to endeavors as simple as a technical fix, a conversion of some kind, I am trained and skilled. My credentials range from live broadcasting of NBA/NFL Teams, credits on ABC's 'A Very Gaga Thanksgiving,' HBO's Game Of Thrones, where I serve as a technical editor for our post team here, Rihanna's MTV Music Award Nominated video 'Where Have You Been All My Life' (offline editor), Phish Tour Debut video (online/offline editor), 4 recent La-Z-Boy commercials (offline editor), Regional Emmy Nominee for both editing and writing (FOX Sports), previs videos for director F. Gary Grey and various other credentials.
It is these experiences that have trained me to offer any technical need or creative need you might have. I am fast, diligent, detail-oriented, and immersed with this kind of work.
I am proud to offer cross platform availability, from the very sophisticated Smoke, which is an editing software capable of reading almost any kind of digital format as well as capable of advanced VFX work, to Avid and Final Cut, to friends of the two such as Photoshop and After Effects.
If it needs an editor, be it because the story needs to be told, be it because there's 1 to who knows how many little things that need to be done or fixed, I can do it. If it needs to be shot, I can do that too, however I do not own any video equipment.
