Open-Source Geospatial Lab, UNMC
2012 - 2012
I was doing part-time internship at Open-Source Geospatial Lab, School of Geography, as part of the Open Source based Geospatial Resource for Agricultural Species and Pests (GRASP) project.
The main objective is to figure out ideas contributing to the existing GRASP platform. The current framework is open-source, developed based on GeoTools, an open source Java library to implement Geographic Information Systems (GIS). It provides methods to manipulate geospatial data which is retrieved from PostgreSQL, a powerful, open source object-relational database system.
