A former college librarian turned freelance writer, editor, and indexer, I have been an eclectic scholar, earning degrees in classical studies, drama, library science, and organizational communication along the way, which allows me to tackle all types of projects in multiple disciplines. I offer (1) proofreading and editing, (2) writing, and (3) back-of-book indexing services.
(1) Proofreading and Editing: As a college librarian turned freelancer, I have thirteen years experience proofing and editing papers for students and faculty in multiple disciplines. I am currently proofreading for _KeyWords: Bulletin of the American Society For Indexing_ and editing for _Indexing in the Heartland: The Newsletter of the Heartland Chapter of the American Society for Indexing_. I have also done webpage proofing for the Commonwealth Policy Center (Herndon, KY).
(2) Writing: I ghostwrite both fiction and nonfiction in multiple lengths and multiple genres. My Elance projects have included stories ranging from 6,000 - 25,000 words in genres such as historical Christian romance, Amish, contemporary fantasy, and children's. I believe in open communication with clients in the development of a story and can work from either very brief descriptions or detailed synopses.
