I'm a recent grad with a B.A. in history and a minor in Bible looking for jobs that utilize the writing, typing, and editing skills I honed through 4.5 years of continuous paper writing at the university level as well as those shaped by 2 years at a college-level boarding school for gifted juniors and seniors. I am available for those jobs requiring a writer, proofreader and editor, typist, researcher, tutoring, and data entry or information organization.
I have experience writing, editing, and researching in a variety of literary styles, including:
---creative, persuasive, expository, explanatory, and "how to" writing,
---scholarly/academic history and theological papers and articles of varying lengths; I can also write the same on a level easily understood by the general public, and
---summaries, analyses, and reviews of other literary works.
As a researcher, I am exceedingly thorough; since I love learning and information-gathering, I enjoy researching a topic to its fullest extent to ensure accuracy and a comprehensive understanding of the material. I am well-versed in manipulating search engines to uncover information by using limiters, synonyms, various spellings (this is especially important when researching any subject that deals with Great Britain), and related terms.
I've long-distance tutored algebra via written directions and through skype. I've tutored history (naturally) as well; I'm proud to say that everyone I've taught received good marks on the subject in which I instructed them.
