Medical Transcription involves transcribing nurses' and physicians' written and dictated notes, emergency room reports, radiology reports, surgical reports, psychiatric evaluations, clinic notes, pathology reports, and lab reports. Data Collection and Abstraction requires reading, reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating office-based and hospital patients accounts and medical records to indentify ICD-9/ICD-10 (diagnosis) and CPT-4 (service/procedure) codes and the physicians responsible for them while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
General Transcription consists of full verbatim and cleaned up transcripts of interviews, podcasts, webinars, video blogs, teleconference, speeches and presentations, classroom lectures, meetings, etc.
