Writing, editing and designing is what I do.

I unearthed this passion more than seven years ago at Purdue University and have been building an unbeatable set of versatile skills ever since.
I've had thousands of newspaper articles in publications, such as, The Northwest Indiana Times (85,000 circulation in Munster, Ind.), Herald & Review (35,000 circulation in Decatur, Ill.) and The Purdue Exponent (20,000 circulation in West Lafayette, Ind.). All of that experience includes a vast amount of work on deadline and in high-stress newsrooms.

Service Description

There isnít a better feeling than leaving the office knowing you have a story that no one else has. Whether it will shock people when they smear the ink on their hands in the a.m., take the Twitter world by storm or spur thousands of comments on a blog, that feeling canít be beat. That feeling is a major reason why I love journalism.

Having the joy of covering successful high school football teams, Iím no stranger to football and basketball season overlapping. Thereís the constant buzz about following countless area teams through the state playoffs and the mounting anticipation for hoops to get underway. The craziness put me tracking down 7-foot Illinois recruit Meyers Leonard on the way home from a quarterfinal playoff win. I had never interviewed someone while driving using speaker phone and a recorder, but I learned quickly. Thatís the beauty of journalism and thatís what I am about.

Who says a 20-hour work day canít put a smile on someoneís face? I will never forget driving home as a sophomore in college knowing I had scooped at least three major news outlets (Journal & Courier, Lafayette, Ind.,; Indianapolis Star; ESPN). It involved a Purdue football (Uche Nwaneri, who now plays for the Jacksonville Jaguars) suing the University to be reinstated. Because of some due diligence on a Sunday as slow as the next, I discovered the lawsuit. After that 20-hour work day, I knew I was pursuing the right career. Thatís the beauty of journalism and thatís what I am about....
