“We are deeply hurt by the false comments of our first and only unsatisfied client(songjiekun) after a series of extremely successful projects and satisfied client base. This client started bringing up all the allegations after we successfully delivered the project and when it was time to pay. After repeated requests through Elance and waiting for almost two months client didnt pay up. The entire project was completed and delivered to client on 07th October 2013, which was well within 1 month. But after that client started to demand additional features, which we notified the client as additional features, but still we spent extra resources at our own expense(didnt ask for any extra money from client) as at the end of the day we wanted our client to be satisfied and have a positive experience, our previous projects and customers are glaring proof of that.
In his feedback what client referred to as copied code is basically a particular way of implementing a hook in Wordpress. Now if you are a software developer you will know, these things are very platform specific and everybody implement it the same way as demonstrated in the example and documentation of that platform. So of course that code structure need to be followed, its not copying, its called following the recommended way. Yes, probably we could change the name of the function to more meaningful name, and we already acknowledged that. But this no way hampered any functionality or deteriorated the outcome of the product.
Regarding bugs, we did extensive testing and resolved most bugs ourselves even before delivering the product. But as obvious with any software projects, there were few bugs which customer pointed out to us and we fixed them immediately. The count 98 which customer referred in his feedback is majorly his additional feature request which he tried to disguise under bug with careful selection of language. Again each and every time when it was the case we notified to customer that its an additional requirement and he agreed to open a separate project to cover those. But he never opened that separate project and continuously extracted those additional work from us giving us the impression that its the last set of feature request and once its done we are going to get our payment.
Also he made several demands to teach him how exactly we are coding this project and we almost taught him the entire code which were never part of the requirement and hence never factored in the pricing. But we still did it because we cared for the fact that we want our customer to be satisfied at the end of the day. Again our previous feedbacks and rating prove that. We delivered this project and provided 10 video tutorials and endless pages of clarification and numerous chat sessions to satisfy him
At last I want to clarify, forget about threatening the customer, we have never even mentioned that we will not complete your project. We just gently reminded him that now as all of the requirement is met, can he please release the payment. Immediately he stopped responding and when we again sent him a reminder that the payment is still pending he simply replied back that he dont want to work with us any more because he no longer trusts us & he wont make the remaining payment and he also threatened to defame us in Elance. But in our worst nightmare we never thought that he will put such false allegation publicly just to save few hundred bucks.
We are deeply saddened and hurt by this untruthful allegation”
