Over forty years' experience translating broad range of material, from scientific research papers to legal and literary texts.
All work delivered ready for publication, having been thoroughly revised and proof-read.
I was born in an Anglo-Argentine home in Buenos Aires, where English was the language for communication within the family, and Spanish for communication with the outer world. So, I am fully bilingual.
Although I am an avid, eclectic reader, I admit to a particular interest in the natural sciences, with biology and ethology heading the list.
One of my hobbies is writing, which I do with equal ease in English and Spanish. At present I have four short stories up for sale (interested parties, please contact me!), a very brief sample of which can be found in both English and Spanish version in my portfolio.
I spent over a quarter of a century breeding and showing Sealyham terriers, and am at present involved in a project to rescue the Perro Pila argentino (our native hairless dogs) from extinction. I am an excellent high fire ceramist and sculptor, but earn my living teaching English and etiquette.
My present companions are three geese and two cats, with whom I share a peaceful home on the outskirts of Salta, in northwestern Argentina.
All of my work is double-checked and proof-read prior to delivery. For technical and scientific work, I like to keep in touch with the author to ensure correct interpretation and use of specialized language.
