I have worked with audio for over 9 years, beginning with Logic Platinum 4 while I was studying music at the
University of Maine in 1999. A few years later, after getting my feet wet with Logic, I began using Pro Tools
FREE for Mac OS 9 and bought my first Pro Tools LE system in 2003. In 2005 I attained the Digidesign Pro
Tools Operator certification through ProMedia Training at Stankonia Studios in Atlanta, GA. After receiving
the Digidesign certification, I spent a few years in Connecticut working primarily as a freelance audio engineer with local artists. In March of 2008, I began my formal education in audio engineering at the Audio Recording Technology Institute in Orlando, FL and graduated in January, 2009. My time at A.R.T.I. was spent learning about analog and digital recording equipment, mixing in stereo and surround, sound design, sound for film, tracking, microphone placement, and mastering. Recently, I've purchased Logic Studio 8 and focused on becoming as adept with it as I am with Pro Tools.
From August to December 2008 I had the pleasure of interning for Bob Katz at Digital Domain. During my
time with Bob I read his book "Mastering Audio: The Art And The Science" and learned a great deal at his
studio concerning cable management, custom cable fabrication, room treatment, tonal and dynamic issues that
commonly occur in mixes, being diplomatic with clients, and advanced dynamic processing techniques.
