Overview

Minimum Hourly Rate $9

I can write both fiction and non-fiction, stories and articles that need interviews. I can write funny stuff, I like to write funny stuff, but I can write serious pieces as well. Someday I would like to write scripts for a television station or articles for a publication.

I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. For college I went to Pace University in New York, where I majored in English writing with a minor in History with a GPA of 2.6. I also worked on the school newspaper, the Pace Paw Print, as a copy editor for the sports and...

Service Description

In college my best courses were creative writing in both fiction and non-fiction, advanced writing, and travel writing. It was always a pleasure to write stories and then come into class the next day and read them to everyone and lsiten to them laugh. It was especially nice, considering everyone else always wrote about going to parties or bars or clubs all the time. I in turn learned about how to keep a story interesting, how not to waste time going over detail that nobody cares about while still explaining the setting and characters so the reader understands what is going on.

I have experience with editing thanks to my time on the school newspaper, the Pace Paw Print. I learned about proper sentence structure that informs the reader of the important details without letting personal opinions interfere with the story. It was an important lesson to learn, since while our main sports writer was professional, our health writer had a bad tendency to write opinionated articles with questionable medical accuracy. For example, the first article she wrote was on a faith healer with limited credentials that she personally believed in.

I also wrote video game reviews for the Paw Print. I tried to write reviews that were really not personal, that were not about me but about the game. I do not like reviews that waste a ton of space summarizing the plot and expect the reader to have the same level of knowledge about video games that I have, that is not fair to the reader.

After Pace...
