Clerk, typist, data entry, secretary - I've done it all in my professional capacity. I've even written articles, stories, instructional manuals, job descriptions, and book reviews. I may be new to this venue, but I've got plenty of experience! I've been administrative support for more than 30 years, and I look forward to helping new clients satisfy their job needs to the best of my ability.
Have recently finished a VERY long term project, and am looking for new projects to tackle!
Typing is typing, grammar and punctuation have specific rules, filing is filing, and even data entry and timekeeping follow rules. Once one knows the basics, the rest is easy.
When trying to eliminate grammatical errors from my projects, my favorite reference book is Strunk and White's Elements of Style. If you have a different reference book you would like me to use, let me know.
I am looking for typing/word processing positions. However, it find it difficult to separate proofreading and editing from word processing. If you don't want that added service, please say so. I have had managers who wanted me to simply type what they wrote, no matter how poorly the sentences were constructed. I can do it.
