I hold the Cisco Certified Network Professional, the Cisco Certified Design Professional, I have just a little paperwork standing between me and the Cisco Certified Systems Instructor, and I have a little over twenty years experience as a unix user and administrator.
I have been working primarily in the service provider space for the last four years but I do have some enterprise clients as well. Specifics of past projects...

IP network architect: design, installation, remote operations, and staff training for small to medium businesses and voice/data carriers.
Over the last five years I have design, installed, supported, and trained internal staff on the network for the nation's largest Ford dealership. This is five geographic locations and over five hundred users. The network has IPsec VPNs, point to point T1 and microwave links, dynamic routing using OSPF, and it bears voice, video, and data.
Over the last two years I have designed, installed, and supported a fully redundant, multihomed, multilocation network for a hosting company. This network has two physical locations, two upstream internet providers, and is in the process of adding two peers. BGP, OSPF, routing, layer 3 switching, design and support of Sonet and ATM switching, and remote unix administration in the context of network monitoring and troubleshooting are some of the major features of this engagement.
During 2006 and 2007 I designed eight and implemented four carrier voice networks in the context of new softswitch installations. I am familiar with link capacity calculations based on market size, QoS requirements for voice in the carrier space, and building high availability networks using HSRP and RSTP to produce transparent failovers on demanding call agent to media gateway links.
Two of the softswitch network implementations were small but the third was very large in terms of the customers I typically have...
