Freelancer Feedback Comments for Client:
“Some clients are just weird & thankfully are an exception. The others keep us encouraged to do good work.
This client had big trouble with his earlier provider regards scope & quality of work. He posted & awarded a project to us but never funded the escrow. Had to contact Elance to cancel. All this while he was trying to "negotiate" with his provider to get some additional work done.
A few months later, he posted another project, got in touch with us & wanted us to work on it. We worked on the project, per his specs. However, when we wanted to show him a progress demo, he was not available. From "getting late" to "pet died", the reasons were many & varied and was unwilling to fund the escrow.
When finally available for a demo, he made assumptions about several aspects. "Unwilling" to give us clear input, it was a helpless situation when the he is behaving. Defeats the purpose of a progress demo. He spent less than 10 minutes in review & complained for almost an hour, absolutely "unwilling" to discuss, it was just a barge of baseless complains.
We are confused why he behaves the way he does. He spent so many hours earlier repeating aspects that were not needed but when asked to review, he was a totally different person. Stuff like "my time is worth 100 $ /hour" were not what we expected from him.
His review is very naturally biased, including posting my personal details on the review, which Elance "removed" per policy. Something is very wrong with this client, beyond my understanding. He seems to like only the content writers, that he ranks well. Maybe he doesnt understand finer aspects of technology and is totally confused ??
In any case, I wish things ended differently as this project is complete except the design, some layout & client review input. As for his legal actions, naturally both parties have to deal with it and we will deal with it when its time :-)
Wish him quick recovery from whatever is causing him to be a different man.”
