Provide proofreading and editing services on books, papers, articles, websites, etc. Strong skills in spelling, grammar, usage and style. Comfortable with British as well as American English (native speaker). Familiar with the major style manuals, and with proofreader's marks. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work under a deadline.
My goal is to free my clients to concentrate on what they're trying to say, rather than on whether they spelled it or phrased it correctly, and to know that in the end, they will come across better than they ever thought they could.
I spent two years as a journalism major at Boston University before I realized my father was right, and I was not to be a war correspondent. I then spent some time at St. Olaf College taking the humanities tour before deciding that I also liked science. My degree is in Physics, from Luther College. As far as education, I am therefore a jack-of-all-trades, but my passion throughout all has been good language. My friends have always come to me for help with their papers, and they've always benefitted from it.
I enjoy working closely with clients on their projects. I make them as dear to me as they are to them. Upon acceptance of my proposal, I will immediately contact you to discuss your needs in detail.
I will provide updates on work progress according to your timetable, be it daily, weekly, etc. Any question or message you have will be addressed by the end of the day (business or weekend) whenever possible. I guarantee 100% satisfaction.

This restaurant is reorganizing and redesigning their menus. I am working closely with the owner and chefs to separate the drink list from the dinner menu, and add the bar menu and new items to the dinner menu. This project is not yet completed.
Payment upon completion for smaller projects, for larger projects as agreed-upon milestones are passed. Turn-around time for most small projects is one week, but if a rush is necessary, please don't hesitate to ask. I work to your deadline.
I prefer to be paid on a per-word or per-page basis, but will accept hourly payment as well. I keep accurate records of time and activities, and never charge for breaks or work unrelated to your project.
