Overview

Minimum Hourly Rate $39

I'm an Ex-Cognos Trainer (for Cognos). I also am an experienced developer with 8 years of hands on, advanced report development.

If you need someone to either build, troubleshoot, improve performance or add Javascript to a report, I can do it and do so quickly.

I also can train individuals in Cognos (I charge more for groups). Whether you need a better understanding of one feature, an orientation to Report Studio, or something else, I know the product very well and am a highly rated trainer. I adapt my language and pacing based on who I...

Service Description

Report Development

From simple to complex, I can build your report. Joins, Unions, Master-detail, drill-through, Javascript enhancement are all no problem.

Troubleshooting assistance
If you need help troubleshooting a problem, I'll work with you via screen share you help you do so. I hve a good sense of the meaning of those deficient error messages. The problem can often be data and I can help you navigate that too.

Training
I'm pretty confident that you will not find a better trainer. I worked for Cognos for 3 years before IBM bought them as an In class trainer. I literally taught 13-18 people every week for 150 weeks. Beyond that, in my current position, I have tauge several hundred more people. That experience has taught ME how to Teach Report Studio, framework Manager and the other tools of Cognos. I have several traits as a trainer that are of value to you. 1) I don;t waste your time on useless skills. I focus on the most useful skills and drop the fluff. 2) I can teach different people at differe levels. If you are a SQL developer, we can roll fast, if you are a business user, I can slow down and not use technical lingo.
The training i offer here is one on one and the rate is for that only. For groups of 2 or more, contact me.

Consulting
I can do straight formal consulting (advise giving). If you want someone to soundboard, I can help. If you fear Cognos will not be able to directly solve your problem, I can help you. If you want to interview candidates, I can...
